Pawel Tomasz Wasilewski popularly known as Paul Wesley, is an multi-award winning actor, producer and director most well-known for his part in the popular television drama series The Vampire Diaries. His work on the series has garnered him several awards, nominations and accolades. They include the Teen Choice Awards and the "Young Hollywood Awards". Wesley was raised within New Brunswick New Jersey, United States. During his high school days, he displayed an interest for acting. After that, he enrolled in Rutgers University. Once he realised that his talents as an actor could lead to a successful career, he chose to leave. His debut appearance in TV was in the popular American TV soap opera Another World. The following year, he appeared as a leading character on 'Wolf Lake a TV series aired by the CBS network. After he took on the character of Stefan Salvatore for the American hit TV show The Vampire Diaries, his career was transformed. He was the director of a couple of episodes of the series as well. Since his debut on The Last Run in 1999, he has been appearing in other movies that have been viewed by millions of people. In recent times, he was on Mothers and Daughters and The Late Bloomer in the roles of a supporting actor. His popularity on social media is quite high, with an impressive 13 million followers on Instagram and more than 4.1,000,000 people following him on Twitter.
